Two Year Blogoversary- eBooks & Giveaway #2!

In 2011, I received my first eReader, courtesy of Santi's parents, who were sweet enough to send it to me as a surprise after I expressed my intense jealousy when he received his in the mail.  (I would also like to mention that he's probably used it a total of 10 times to do anything but play games on, but I digress...)

Having this Kindle has changed my reading experience, because now I feel as though I'm not as limited when it comes to receiving books for review.  While I still prefer physical books for my collection and use my Kindle primarily for review books, I've found that I actually tend to get through eBooks at a faster pace.  Maybe it has to do with not being able to see how many pages I have left in a chapter, or maybe it's because an eReader is a lot easier to take on the go, I don't know, but it's something I've grown to appreciate when I become overwhelmed with the amount of books I have to read.

  1. I used to hate the thought of ebooks. I was such a die hard physical book person. But as I've come to find, ebooks are a lot easier to receive for reviews. I've been able to read and review so many more ebooks that I've gotten approved for on NetGalley than I have gotten as physical books. Plus, ebooks are all located in one little spot: on said ereader. It's easy to grab on the go and if I'm not at home and finish one book, I can easily go on to the next. Physical books are still my favorite, though, and whenever I want a new book, I usually head over to my local bookstore--unless of course it's on sale on Amazon as an ebook :) I'd pick either THE PROGRAM, ICONS, or MEANT TO BE. Such a tough decision! I'd have to think about it!

  3. Wow, a two year anniversary! Congrats! :) I have a slightly love-hate relationship with my Kindle, simply because I feel like nothing can beat the feeling of a real book in between your hands... but being away at college, I just don't have as much time to search out the books I want! Kindles are just too darn convenient. :)

  5. Happy blogoversary!

I've grown to love my Kobo! I love how convenient and mobile an ereader can be. It can be a lot easier to bring around with you and they're all neatly stored and organized.

I'd love to win Another Little Piece!

  6. Ebooks are great if you find yourself without a book. Also, I love reading in bed with them because you don't need a book light! They're really light to carry too...between my kindle and my iPad I have got it covered! :)

    Happy blogoversary!

  12. I love the convenience and easy access that even if I don't have my e-reader with me I can pick up where I left off on my phone or even my computer at work. The lower prices and easy accessible to borrow from my local library makes everything simpler to when I want to read new releases ASAP.I would probably choose Siege and Storm! :)

  14. Ebooks are so convenient, not to mention how much easier it is to read on an elliptical when all you have to do is push a button to turn the page. I'd choose Dare You To. Thanks for the giveaway.
